Last weekend was the 2014 Minneapolis Home and Garden Show.
Of course, we were in the his-ous!
I didn’t bring my big camera, but we snapped a few candids with our phones.
There was some pretty sweet stuffs in the Idea Home (a.k.a. big-ass fake display house). Some of my favs included:
…the coolest walk-in shower ever…
I love the hex Carrera marble floor. The subway tile on the walls was a Carrera-look ceramic with a glass tile inset. I loved that this walk-in shower didn’t have a door–something I am planning for my own master bath.
…and the coolest closet ever…
Those blinged-out pulls may be a bit much, and I’m pretty sure this closet system cost more than entire kitchen remodel, but how gorgeous is that!
…and lets not forget the coolest patio pavers ever…
Can you believe those pavers are cast concrete? So awesome and they are made right here in MN. They have a 10-yr warranty too. I am totally going to look into these for around my future garden.
If you are a fan of us on FB then you may have seen my ear to ear smile with my photo with Kevin O’Conner, the Host of This Old House.
I had to build up a lot of courage to talk to this guy, let alone get a photo with him. Anyone that knows me well knows that This Old House is my favorite show of all time and I love Kevin O’Conner. However, If Tom Silva was there I would have literally shit my pants, went into hyperventilations and then passed out.
He gave a lovely presentation and took questions about the show and gave away a $400 Festool drill (I did not win, damnit).
Adrian got a photo with his old friend Matt Muenster from Bath Crashers on the DIY Network.
Adrian was on the show Bathtastic, with his brother Dusty a few years back. Dusty had his bathroom redone on the show and Adrian offered some assistance as well as good looks to the show.
One lonely photo of Dusty’s bathroom that I found on the internet:
If you are curious the episode was titled “Purple Reign”.
Adrian also got an autograph:
Anyone else get out to the show? Bring home any awesome gadgets? Get any awesome ideas? I for one am ecstatic that I will be able to put some of those good ideas to use in a few weeks–hells yeah to melting snow. Spring, where have you been all my life?
